Scottsdale is the most space-constrained, offering roughly half the square footage that Tucson does for the same $400,000 budget.

  • Detroit buyers could get the most space among the country’s 100 largest cities — nearly 5,000 square feet — while those in Manhattan may get the least, at just 267 square feet.
